Further investigation into the Studywhiz website makes for some very interesting reading… Their system spans across the Ipod and Iphone range in addition to having a very comprehensive and customiable online  facilitys that are tailored for each project. As is apparnt these are some of the features i detailed in my Digital device. I applaud studywhiz in its implementation and scope of its undertaking. And from the many promotional and interview videos available on their site, Studywhiz does indeed seem to be an invaluable resource in the student/teacher toolbox.

Another exciting aspect of their service is in addition to supporting teachers and learners but also the parent. Parents have the ability to recieve updates and dynamically view their child’s progress.

With studywiz as some  conveniant inspiration my Learner Lasso can take some valuable influence from this initiative.

“Think Ipod not Imac” quite litrally!

Regarding my last post i have just discovered a very apt youtube video of a short segment taken from Austrailian TV. a very similar application in relation to my own ideas is in development by Australian organisation ‘Etech‘ by utilising the existing ipod software and hardware. Etecs software ‘Studywiz’ implements its own learning features. Such as Video lecture podcasts. Another feature that is similar to my ‘dynamic time table’ idea is also implemented. With assignments being updated on the existing Ipod calender.
